Gallery > Boleslaviec 2018

August 2018 returned to Boleslavic and participated in the 54th Ceramic and Sculpture symposium. This was my 4th time taking part in this annual event (1996, 2007, 2008, 2018)
2018 marked 100 years of Polish independence. The theme was "A pole- an artisan potter"
The 12 invited artists were either Polish or had Polish roots .
Over 3 weeks I was inspired by the environment of this historical ceramic city, creating artwork in the well equipped workshop of the Contemporary Ceramic Centre- BOK, and enjoying meeting and exchanging ideas with the other artists.
I made a group of large "Boleslaviec Venuses" and other work that was exhibited at the end of the symposium in the gallery of the contemporary Ceramic Centre.
